Quick Tasks let you turn one task into a chore without picking a room first.
Add a quick task
- Tap + at the bottom of the screen, then tap Add Task.
- On the Quick Task screen, scroll or use Search tasks ... to find a task.
You can search by task name or room name.
- Tap the task.
- Choose who does it, the reward, the schedule and any extras, the same way as for any chore.
- Tap Save.
The task list
- Common tasks are listed first and marked with a star.
- Each task shows its room underneath.
- Tasks from rooms you have hidden are not listed.
After you add it
A quick task becomes a regular chore with one task.
It shows on the Home tab on the days it's due and in the Chores tab.
You can edit, copy, complete or delete it like any other chore.
Quick tasks count toward the 5-chore limit of the free plan.
When to use it
- A one-off job that doesn't need grouping with other tasks.
- Giving one family member a single responsibility.
For a chore with several tasks, use Add Chore instead.
See How to create a chore.
Troubleshooting
- "No tasks available": every room may be hidden.
Show a room again in Settings > Rooms & Areas.
- The upgrade screen opens when you tap Add Task: your home already has 5 chores on the free plan.
