How to edit, copy or delete a chore

You can change a chore at any time. You need a profile without Limit Access to edit, copy or delete chores.

Find the chore

From the Home tab:

  1. Pick a day on the calendar.
  2. Tap the chore.

From the Chores tab:

  1. Tap By Area to group chores by room, or By Member to group them by person.
  2. Use the menu next to it to show All Chores, My Chores or Unassigned.
  3. Tap the chore.

Edit a chore

  1. Open the chore.
  2. Tap the three dots at the top right, then tap Edit. On the chore screen from the Chores tab, you can also tap the Edit button at the bottom.
  3. Change what you need: room, tasks, name, who does it, reward, schedule, reminder, notes or photo proof.
  4. Tap Save.

If you change the room, pick tasks from the new room.

Copy a chore

  1. Open the chore.
  2. Tap the three dots at the top right, then tap Copy.
  3. The copy opens with the same settings and "(Copy)" added to its name.
  4. Change what you need and tap Save.

Copying is a quick way to make a similar chore for another room or person.

Delete a chore

  1. Open the chore.
  2. Tap the three dots at the top right, then tap Delete.
  3. The app asks "Delete this chore from ...?" and warns "This will permanently remove the chore from ...".
  4. Confirm.

Change the order of tasks

When you edit a chore with two or more tasks, tap Reorder tasks. See How to change the order of tasks and chores.

Troubleshooting

  • There are no three dots on the chore screen: the selected profile has Limit Access. Switch to a parent's profile from the name at the top of the Home tab.
  • "Your profile is not allowed to make changes.": same cause, switch to a parent's profile.
  • "You can view this chore but only assigned members can edit it.": the selected profile has Limit Access and isn't assigned to this chore.
